Youth & Women’s Hunt

Our Johnson County (Chapter 706) Pheasants & Quail Forever Youth & Women’s Hunt and Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, October 6 at the Eckman’s Hunting Preserve located at 988 E. 1800 Road, Baldwin City, Kansas (1/2 hour west of Lenexa).

Youth Hunt activities will be held for youth hunters between 11 and 17 years old. Each youth is required to have an adult sponsor and Hunter Safety Certificate.

Women’s Hunt activities will be offered to women with limited hunting experience.

For each hunter, the day starts with a hunter safety refresher, warm-up clays and then a 1-2 hour hunt including two pheasants each. After the hunt, they will have time to chat with other hunters, shoot additional clays and enjoy the Family Fun Activities. Lunch will be provided and prizes will be raffled to the youth hunters present during lunch. To continue our hunting heritage, all youth participants will be eligible for a shotgun raffle that will take place during lunch at the event.

The hunt is sponsored by the local Johnson County Chapter 706 at no cost to hunters, with the Chapter providing the facility, birds, dogs, and volunteers. For attending, all youth will receive a membership to Pheasants Forever Ringnecks magazine.

If you would like to register for this year’s hunt email us your completed¬†hunt waiver and use this link to complete your online application. This checklist will also help ensure you have a great experience.
